RaceDeck is a Formula 1 companion app built to be useful without asking anything of you in return. This page explains, plainly, what the app does with information — and just as importantly, what it doesn't.
RaceDeck does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data — not with us, not with anyone else. There's no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind built into the app.
Your favorite driver and team, selected season, and appearance preference are saved locally on your device. They're shared with the RaceDeck widgets through a private, on-device App Group container — the same mechanism Apple provides for an app and its widgets to talk to each other on your phone.
None of this is ever transmitted anywhere. We don't operate any servers that could receive it, even if we wanted to.
Schedules, results, and standings are fetched from Jolpica‑F1, a free, independent, community-run Formula 1 data service. These are plain requests for public race information — they don't carry your name, your device identifier, or anything else that could identify you.
Race Reminders are scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's local notification system. Turning them on doesn't send anything to a server — the reminder lives on your phone and nowhere else.
RaceDeck isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone who uses it, regardless of age.
If anything here ever changes, the update will be posted on this same page with a revised effective date above.
